What is engineered flooring?
Engineered flooring is made from a top layer of real wood (known as the decorative layer) which is bonded to a stack of other materials (known as the core board). The decorative layer can vary in thickness, thicker layers providing a longer life for your floor as they can be sanded back and refinished multiple times. Core boards vary too both in thickness and in the number of layers they consist of.
